Brewer's Cup Competition

Thank you for visiting the Brewers Cup page where you will find entry forms, competition guidelines, maps and contact information. If you have other questions, please contact Competition co-chair, Anita Johnson at 317-370-3472 or anita@greatfermentation.com

The Brewers Cup is fully supported by the Indiana State Fair and is organized by a core group of beer geeks that take the competition seriously but have fun doing it. To provide the best possible feedback to entrants, the majority of judges are BJCP certified or professional brewers. The Awards Reception after the competition is a fun finale to the day. Entrants and judges gather over beer and appetizers to honor the award winners and to celebrate good beer and brewing. This is a great opportunity to experience the real community of beer aficionados.

What's new for the 2007 Brewers Cup

  • Online Judge Registration - judges now have the option of registering online.  Be sure to list your entries and judging preferences.
  • Online Entry - Although you do not have to enter online, we encourage you to do so.  To enter online, simply follow the link above to the Indiana State Fair. This link will be operational only during the entry acceptance period, June 9 - 22nd at 3 PM. Make certain you print a copy of your entry form at the completion of entry process to include with your bottle entries.
  • Entry Deadline - The online entry process will necessitate that we close entries on Friday the 22nd at 3 PM. There will be no hand delivered or online entries accepted after 3 PM on June 22nd.
  • Fewer Bottles Needed -Entrants need only submit two bottles per entry. Homebrewers should enter 12 oz. bottles free of any labels or markings. Professional brewers may enter any sized containers, labels and bottle markings are acceptable.
  • New Bottle ID Form - We have changed the bottle ID form to reflect the need to specify the additives and the underlying base style on fruit smoke, spice/herb/vegetable, smoke and wood-aged beers. We would prefer that entrants use our bottle ID form but any form that lists the same information is acceptable.
