Get Involved with the Barn: Volunteer
Are you interested in becoming actively involved with The Barn? Well, why not volunteer?! The Barn is looking for friendly and energetic volunteers to assist with a number of fun activities, such as:
- Administrative Support: Assist with mailings, data entry, and general office work
- Farm Hand: Plant, maintain, and harvest crops on the ISF grounds and in the greenhouse
- Program Facilitator: Assist Education Specialist with on-site educational programming
- Visitor Services: Greet and assist with school group check-ins and organizing lunch breaks
- Special Events: Help organize Festival operations and exhibitions
- Education Interpreter: Entertain and educate visitors as an historic character
- Indiana State Fair Volunteer: Assist with facilitating activities at Little Hands on the Farm, Pioneer Village, and the Junior Explorers Club
- Invitation to an annual Volunteer Appreciation Party.
- 'The Barn at the Indiana State Fairgrounds' Volunteer t-shirt
- Quarterly Newsletter, The Barn Yarn, that provides advance notice of upcoming exhibits, programs, and events.
- Utilize and develop your personal and career skills while helping to improve The State's Largest Classroom.
- Work with children to help them learn and experience their agricultural environment.
