Our educational programs provide an enriched learning experience while complementing school curricula and meeting Indiana academic standards. Students will experience a whole new dimension in agricultural education at the State's Largest Classroom, an interactive learning campus located at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

- Farm Animals (K-3)
Cows, and chickens, and pigs - Oh my! Come face to face with all the animals you would find on rural Indiana farms. Get close and gain a better understanding of the farm animals' importance to the people who raise them and our environment. Finally, make connections to the products you use everyday and farm animals - there are more than you might think.

- Farm to Pizza (K-3)
Using the ingredients on everyone's favorite food - pizza - discover that our foods do not originate in the groceries or restaurants, but have an exciting history before becoming our dinner.
Standards: Science 2.1.1, 3.1.5, 3.2.2 Health 2.1.1, 2.1.2, 3.1.1, 3.4.7 English 3.7.15
- Pathway to Water Quality Water Quality Study (4-6)
Do we all take clean water for granted? What can we do personally to ensure clean and abundant water for generations to come? This is a three part activity which works with students to understand the importance of maintaining a healthy, clean watershed. Students will see the output of their actions in the home and public areas, and learn about sources of point and non-point pollution.

- Pathway to Water Quality Wetland Study: Grades (4-6)
Turn a simple sponge into a working wetland model. Students will learn what a wetland is, how it functions, and why they're important.

Festivals
Hoosier Heritage Days (4-6)Fee: $50.00 per class
Now accepting registrations for the Hoosier Heritage Days Festival, October 6 - 11, 2008!
Hoosier Heritage Days is a festival to celebrate the pioneering heritage of all Hoosiers. Consisting of five different areas, participants will experience a whole range of creative learning activities.
- Pioneers: Possum Molly is just one of the rich characters you will meet at Possum Holler. Visitors will be engaged with 1st person activities that demonstrate the way of life of early Indiana, including interactive story-telling, raising a barn, and blacksmithing.
- Home and Hearth: Participate in activities which occupied early Hoosiers in their homes and on their land. From wool spinning and butter churning to apple peeling and cider pressing, you will walk away with a true appreciation for the laborious techniques of early Pioneer life.
- Crops and Livestock: Come up close and personal with chickens, cows, sheep, and corn! Take a hayride - or thresh some wheat! This area will highlight the agricultural past of Indiana. Students will see and experience the animals, tractors, and crops that serve the Indiana farmer.
- Crafts and Cultures: Learn the art of Pioneer quilting, weaving, and even scarecrow making. Students will be able to learn about and create crafts that were common in early Indiana.
- Fun and Games: Play historic games while enjoying sack lunches brought from home.

Celebrate Indiana's environment while engaging in numerous activities. Celebrate the Good Earth will have a variety of different areas which involve visitors with the land and the different ways which Hoosiers interact with the land.
- 3 R's: Environmental footprints can be bigger than you think. Do you know how big yours is? Participate in activities and gather information regarding the 3 R’s: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
- Pathway to Water Quality: Explore a wetland, creek, and Indiana pond while participating in a tour highlighting the Pathway to Water Quality area.
- Agricultural Technology: Technology in farming? Yes! Technology plays a very important role in the ever-evolving world of agriculture. Become involved in cutting edge agricultural technology including: biotechnology, GPS guided vehicles, and biofuel processing.
- Our Land: Land is very important to the agricultural lifestyles and businesses here in Indiana. Do you know of all the different ways which farmers protect the land and care for the many forms of wildlife in the state? Walk through demonstration fields which will highlight No-Till practices, conservation buffers, Farmers Care, and Wildlife.
- Fun and Games: Participate in events to celebrate Earth Day and enjoy sack lunches brought from home.
