agriculture touches every living person. The food we eat, the clothes we wear, the products we use. The way of life which developed the values, economy, and culture of our nation. Through education and entertainment the barn will use the present as a springboard to the future and honor the past for the lessons and cultural perspectives it provides.
Farm to Pizza
Grades: Pre K - 2nd Grade
Dates: April 6 - May 29, 2015 (2015)
Description: Who loves pizza? Everyone! By using the ingredients on everybody’s favorite food, students will discover the origins of what we eat. From meeting the livestock to working on our mock farm, your classes will explore the journey of pizza from the farm to their plate. Students will tie it all together as they create their own pizza. Choose your Pizza Option. Option 1, make an English muffin pizza as one of the 30 minute rotations ($2.00). Option 2, make half of 7” pizzas during lunch after other rotations are completed ($5.00). All attending adults will pay the same price as students, teachers attend for Free. Come take a bite out of “Farm to Pizza”!
