Secretary of State Todd Rokita introduces advanced changes in UCC search
New system allows customers a more focused search for documents

Indianapolis, IN - Secretary of State Todd Rokita announced today the availability of a new online service for Business Services customers. As part of ongoing web-based advances, customers can now more easily search the UCC lien database.

Previously, customers could search the database only by using the debtor name or filing number. Now, customers will be able to search by many different criteria, including secured party, city, ZIP code and filing date.

This change will allow for a more focused search for the customer, reducing the amount of time spent online looking for data.

"This system will allow the office to serve Hoosier businesses with greater efficiency," Rokita said. "Web-based technology is crucial to today's businesses, and the new system reflects the customers' needs."

To search the UCC database or access other Business Services documents, visit the Secretary's website at www.sos.IN.gov.
