Welcome to the Vote Indiana Team web page! This site is your access to Indiana's most sweeping change in elections law since the Voting Rights Act of 1965. We are working to protect the sanctity of the vote and to encourage all Hoosiers to exercise the right to vote as well as to address the Help America Vote Act of 2002 (HAVA). This site will provide you up to date information on the development of our state plan that will act as a blueprint for Indiana elections administration initiatives for the next five years and beyond. The federal dollars associated with HAVA will help us to make great strides in election reform, including implementing the following:

1. Update voting machines for polling places
2. Develop a statewide voter list
3. Ensure that each polling place has at least one voting machine accessible to persons with disabilities and help address other accessibility issues
4. Train and educate poll works and voters, reducing the possibility of confusion and error at the polls.

In order to develop this plan, we have put together a diverse, tri-partisan group of Hoosiers that reflect the voter make up of Indiana. This team will work together to create and submit Indiana's plan to the federal government by July 1st, as currently scheduled. This site allows you to see the roster of members of the Vote Indiana Team, a summary of the HAVA legislation, the Vote Indiana Team process, and summary meeting notes. With continuous visits to this site, you will have a firsthand look at the development of the state plan and the successful outcome for all Hoosier voters.
