Thank you for your interest in the summer internship program at the Office of the Indiana Secretary of State. Secretary of State is excited and proud when young Hoosiers take an interest in their government. He applauds those who choose to take an active role in continuing to make Indiana a national leader in election reform, business services and Hoosier financial investment protection.
This elections outreach internship is a great opportunity to strengthen your communication skills and build a strong portfolio. Candidates will work directly with the Election Outreach Manager, Jeremy Burton, to assist the office with numerous outreach initiatives. Candidates will travel around the state attending outreach events such as the Home Care and Hospice Conference, the Community Juvenile Conference, the Black Expo, Indiana State Fair and other outreach events throughout Indiana. Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment while keeping a professional attitude and work ethic as well as remain skillful under pressure. A resume and cover letter must be submitted as required materials for application. Upon interview, candidate may be asked to provide a recent writing sample.
