Indianapolis, IN - Today, Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita announces the addition of former Help America Vote Act (HAVA) Director of Education and Outreach, Jen Fanger, to his communications team. Fanger will come on board as Deputy Communications Director, and transition into current Director AJ Feeney-Ruiz's role when he leaves the office later this year to move from part-time to full-time studies in Indiana University's joint graduate degree program in law and business administration.

"Jen brings a unique set of skills and experiences to this position and adds a new dimension to our communications team," Rokita said. "We look forward to having Jen's expertise and fresh perspective in the office again."

Fanger is a 2000 graduate of Franklin College and holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Journalism. She is currently a student at Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis, and has worked in the Indianapolis area as a communications consultant for a range of clientele including large and small companies, nonprofit organizations, and educational institutions. In her HAVA role, Fanger developed a statewide multimedia campaign to educate voters about Indiana's voter ID law, and expanded existing voter outreach and poll worker programs.

"I am excited to return to the Secretary of State's office," said Fanger. "Secretary Rokita is an energetic leader, and I look forward to being a part of the strides his office is taking on behalf of Hoosiers."
