Secretary of State Rokita to Accept Candidate Filings

Indianapolis -- Secretary of State Todd Rokita announced today that candidate filings for the 2004 primary election begin on Wednesday, January 21, 2004 and end on Friday, February 20, 2004 at 12:00 noon. Secretary Rokita's State House office will be available to receive and accept filings beginning at 8:15 AM on the 21st. Secretary Rokita will be on hand to personally accept the filings and congratulate the candidates.
In 2004, Indiana voters will elect individuals to serve in the following offices:
- One United States Senator
- Nine United States Representatives
- Governor
- Attorney General
- Superintendent of Public Instruction
- 25 State Senators
- 100 State Representatives
- A variety of county and local offices
