Dear Director Hicks,

Pursuant to IC 4-22-2-28, the Indiana Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship ("OSBE") has reviewed the economic impact analysis for small business associated with rule changes contained in LSA Document #14-182 proposed by the State Board of Funeral and Cemetery Service ("The Board"). The proposed rule amends 832 IAC 2-1-2 concerning fees, 832 IAC 3-2-1 concerning funeral director internship, 832 IAC 3-2-4 concerning requirements for a third and subsequent taking of funeral director license examination, 832 IAC 4-1-2 concerning continuing education course requirements, and 832 IAC 5-1-0.5 concerning licensure procedure. The proposed rule repeals 832 IAC 3-3-5 concerning effect of expired funeral director license.

The economic impact statement prepared by the Board indicates there will be no additional economic impact on small business subject to the rule. OSBE does not object to the economic impact to small business associated with the proposed rule. If you have any questions about the comments contained herein please contact me at 232.5679 or ombudsman@osbe.in.gov.
