"Bill and I are very saddened by the loss of our friend Sophia Travis. Sophia was a talented, dedicated woman whose generosity touched many lives. A public servant, she gave her time and leadership to improve the lives of the people of Monroe County. As a friend, she enlightened our lives with her artistic spirit and thoughtful actions. Sophia will be missed.

"Our thoughts are with her husband Greg, son Finn, the extended family and all of the friends who loved her during this very difficult time."
