The U.S. Geological Survey reported an earthquake at 1:53 p.m. in Mineral, Virginia, and tremors have been felt as far away as Michigan.
Data from other states helps scientists gauge the intensity and area affected by the earthquake.
The Indiana Geological Survey and the Indiana Department of Homeland Security are asking Hoosiers to report if they felt any tremors during that time. To report, go to http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/dyfi/events/us/c0005ild/us/index.html and click on the "Did You Feel It? - Tell Us!" link.
Please submit your report even if a large number of reports have been turned in.
