(Indianapolis, Indiana) - The Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) announced today it will accept letters of intent and grant applications from organizations interested in applying for the Statewide Arts Service Organization (SWASO) grant program.
Funding will be available for the SWASO program to strengthen the capacity of arts organizations by providing financial support to statewide arts service organizations. Statewide arts service organizations offer high quality training and technical assistance services on a statewide or multi-regional basis with special attention to arts providers in underserved communities. Grant recipients must provide matching funds for their awards.
Organizations interested in applying for this grant program must submit a letter of intent to apply. Letters of intent may be submitted by email to kdavis-smith@iac.in.gov or by mail to Indiana Arts Commission, attn: Kristina Davis-Smith, 100 N. Senate Ave., Room N505, Indianapolis, IN 46204. A sample letter of intent can be found on the IAC website www.in.gov/arts/SWASO.htm. Letters of intent must be received by the Indiana Arts Commission no later than 4:30 p.m. (EST) February 15, 2011.
Organizations are strongly encouraged to carefully review the program guidelines as several changes have been made to the guidelines. Guidelines for the grant program are currently available on the IAC website at: www.in.gov/arts/SWASO.htm.
Applications must be submitted through the Indiana Cultural Grants Online (http://indiana.cgweb.org/) no later than 4:30 p.m. (EST) March 1, 2011.
