(Indianapolis, Indiana) - The Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) announced today that organizations interested in serving as IAC Regional Arts Partners have until January 10, 2011 to submit notice of intent to apply for consideration.
Organizations desiring to receive funding as a Regional Arts Partner in Fiscal Years 2012-2013 must email a pdf file of their notice of intent to apply by 4:30 p.m. (EST) January 10, 2011.
The form can be found on the IAC website at: www.in.gov/arts/regionalartspartner.htm. The IAC recommends that a delivery receipt be requested by the sender. The IAC will contact the organization within two business days of the submission.
Early this year, as part of efforts to streamline its grant delivery system, the IAC agreed to open the Regional Arts Partnership system to other organizations that might be interested in becoming regional re-granting agents and service providers.
"The rationale behind this part of our restructuring was to open the regional system to other organizations that have the interest and capacity to provide re-granting and other contracted services to community-based cultural providers," said Lewis C. Ricci, IAC executive director. "Opening the partnership as a competitive regional granting provider system will make all organizations more accountable for taxpayer dollars. It will also help to develop regional relationships and valuable expertise while maintaining local input into the grant decision making process."
The application process will be open to existing IAC Regional Arts Partners as well as organizations new to this program.
Regional Arts Partner organizations selected in the open process will serve in that capacity for a four-year term, or two state budget cycles.
For more information, or to receive a notice of intent to apply form, go to the IAC website: www.in.gov/arts/regionalartspartner.htm or contact Bobbie Garver at 317-232-1283 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
On behalf of the people of Indiana, the Indiana Arts Commission advocates engagement with the arts to enrich the quality of individual and community life.
