(Indianapolis, Indiana) - The Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) announced today that Hanover College will host the first in a series of five regional Strategic Plan public forums.
The September 29th forum will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Rivers Institute at Hanover College, Hanover, Indiana. The Rivers Institute at Hanover College is located in Hendricks Hall overlooking the Ohio River. Parking is located next to the building or behind Parker Auditorium.
In addition to the Hanover public forum, the IAC will hold additional forums at the following locations through mid-October. All times are local.
1:00 p.m. October 4, 2010 Butler University, Clowes Hall, Indianapolis
1:00 p.m. October 5, 2010 Ball State University, Muncie
1:00 p.m. October 18, 2010 Valparaiso University, Valparaiso
1:00 p.m. October 20, 2010 Indiana State University, Terre Haute
"We encourage anyone with an interest in the administration of public arts funding in Indiana to attend one or more of these forums," said IAC Executive Director Lewis C. Ricci. "The Commission believes that it is critical to include the public in our planning process."
The final Strategic Plan will be presented to the full 15-member Indiana Arts Commission for review and approval at the next quarterly business meeting, December 10, 2010, in Indianapolis.
On behalf of the people of Indiana, the Indiana Arts Commission advocates engagement with the arts to enrich the quality of individual and community life.
