IDEM invites citizens to a public informational meeting about the renewal of the air permit for MAC Construction and Excavating, Inc. The meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the River Valley Middle School, 2220 New Albany-Charlestown Road in Jeffersonville, Ind.

MAC Construction and Excavating, Inc. applied to renew the Federally Enforceable State Operating Permit (FESOP) for its stationary drum mix asphalt plant in Jeffersonville in Clark County. The facility is not proposing to add equipment that would emit air pollutants. Due to comments received by IDEM from interested parties, the agency is holding a public meeting to discuss air permitting of the facility.

IDEM staff will be available during the meeting to answer questions and accept written comments from the public. Individuals who wish to submit written comments after the meeting may mail, e-mail, fax or hand-deliver them to IDEM through September 7, 2010. Written comments should refer to permit number 019-28936-05282.

• IDEM Southwest Regional Office, 1120 North Vincennes Avenue, Petersburg
• IDEM's Central File Room, 12th floor of the Indiana Government Center North building, 100 North Senate Avenue, Indianapolis. To ensure a copy is available upon arrival, individuals should contact Central File Room staff at (317) 232-8667 beforehand to make arrangements. The IDEM Central File Room is open Monday through Friday, excluding official holidays, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (local time).

The agency will consider all written comments before making its final decision.
