INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana State Fire Marshal's Office has made a seventh arrest, 19-year-old Skylar C. Ping, in the intentionally set fire on July 14 at the Grandview Apostolic Church in Brown County.
The Indiana State Fire Marshal's Office arrested Nathan R. Bauermeister, Jonathan K. Mings, Dalton J. Poe and Cody L. Watts, Stephen A. Moore and one juvenile earlier this week.
The Indiana State Fire Marshal's Office is a division of the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
The Brown County Prosecutor's Office, Brown County Sheriff's Office, Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office, and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) continue to be involved in the ongoing investigation.
Information gathered from the Indiana Arson Hotline and the Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana Hotline was instrumental in leading to the arrests. Anyone with additional information is urged to call.
The Indiana State Fire Marshal's Office continues to monitor the Indiana Arson Hotline (800-382-4628) in addition to the Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana Hotline (317-262-TIPS). Those with information about the Grandview Apostolic Church fire or any other intentionally set fire are encouraged to call either line. All calls will be kept confidential.
An award of up to $1,000 is being offered through the Crime Stoppers Hotline. An award of up to $5,000 through the Indiana Arson Hotline is available for individuals who provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) in connection with the intentionally set fire.
