Governor Mitch Daniels today sent Indiana Congressmen Baron Hill and Andre Carson an updated report about the estimated additional cost to Indiana taxpayers of national health care legislation. The congressmen asked for a review of the study using lower assumptions about how many Hoosiers will participate in Medicaid when all Hoosiers will be required to have health insurance in 2014. The review found that the minimum additional cost to the state is projected to be $2.9 billion and the likely impact is closer to $3.6 billion.
