Troopers find Meth Lab, Mother Arrested for Meth and Neglect

Pike County - Sunday evening, February 7, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Indiana State Police and Pike County Sheriff's Deputies responded to 5992 East C.R. 900 South near Stendal to investigate a complaint of illegal drug activity occurring at the residence.  When officers entered the residence they discovered small amounts of meth and marijuana.  A search of a yard barn approximately 60 feet from the residence revealed a meth lab.  Troopers arrested Lillian Jones, 38, and transported her to the Pike County Jail where she is currently being held on bond.  Jones' three children were taken into protective custody by Pike County Child Protective Services and later released to relatives.

ARRESTED AND CHARGES:

1.      Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Class B Felony

2.      Neglect of a Dependant, Class D Felony (3 Counts)

3.      Possession of Methamphetamine, Class D Felony

4.      Possession of Precursors with the Intent to Manufacture Meth, Class C Felony

5.      Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Class D Felony

6.      Possession of a Controlled Substance, Class D Felony

7.      Possession of Marijuana, Class A Misdemeanor

8.      Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor

The investigation is continuing.
