VINCENNES, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) recently accepted applications for federal funds.  These applications were for projects located in cities with a population of more than 5,000 but less than 50,000 (based on 2000 US Census).

The public meeting to consider Tell City's application for additional funding for the River  Road project will be held at 9:30 a.m. central time on Thursday, January 7.  Said meeting will be held at City Hall in Tell City, 700 Main Street, Tell City, Indiana.  Any interested person may attend this meeting and discuss the proposed project with the Project Evaluation Committee at that time.

The maximum amount of funding to any one applicant during the 2009 call for projects if $3,000,000 and will require the local entity to provide 20% in matching local funds.  The Vincennes District has been allocated a total of $3.2 million for distribution.   Four cities submitted projects to the Vincennes District totaling approximately $5.7 million.
