Experience the wonderful world of eagles with indoor & outdoor programs at Patoka Lake on Saturday, January 9th from 8a.m. - 1p.m. Come dressed for the weather and join Aron Showalter, Patoka Lake Wildlife Specialist & crew, as we travel by car caravan to hot spots for eagles and possibly view these winged wonders in the wilds. Enjoy an update of Indiana's eagle & osprey program with special guest John Castrale, Nongame Wildlife Biologist, DNR Division of Fish & Wildlife. Join Rex Watters, DNR Monroe Lake Wildlife Specialist as he shares his experiences regarding the 1980s Eagle Reintroduction Program and his ongoing adventures that include rescue operations and observations of the wild variety. Learn about DNR Hardy Lake's non-releasable resident bald eagle with a close-up look at an amazing bird of prey. |
Pre-registration is required with a program fee of $5 per person 6 years of age & older; participants 5 years of age and younger free. Refreshments served. Bring cameras, binoculars, bag lunch, preferred snacks, family and friends. Join in this celebration of winter and Indiana's natural heritage.
