Indiana State Police troopers from the Redkey District conducted driving while impaired patrols Saturday, October 31^st within the Redkey District which includes: Blackford, Delaware, Grant, Jay and Randolph Counties.

The Indiana State Police is committed to traffic safety, and will continue to conduct sobriety checkpoints and driving while impaired patrols for the remainder of 2009 to apprehend impaired drivers, and to deter others from driving while impaired.

The following information is the results from the DUI enforcement patrols:

• Driving while intoxicated misdemeanor arrests:        7   
• Driving while suspended arrests:                                4

• Possession of drug paraphernalia arrest:                    1

• Disorderly conduct arrest:                                            1
