Lafayette - Indiana State Police at the Lafayette Post released statistics for the month of September.  Troopers issued 2,071 traffic citations and wrote 1,676 traffic warnings.  Troopers also arrested 31 drunk drivers and made 114 criminal arrests.

School has started and people are reminded to watch for children walking to school or waiting on a school bus.  The child you see may be your own so slow down, put down the phone, stop combing your hair, or reading the paper when traveling through a school zone!
