State Police K9 Finds Marijuana on a Traffic Stop

Franklin County - Tonight at around 6:47 p.m. Connersville Trooper Barry Bischoff was patrolling on Reservoir Road near Indiana Road 101 when he stopped a 1986 Toyota pickup for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the truck's driver, Vincent Lunsford, 28, of Brookville, Bischoff became suspicious.  Trooper Bischoff went back to his commission and got out his K9 partner, Gaston.

The dog alerted on the passenger compartment of the truck.  A search revealed one and a half pounds of processed marijuana in a large plastic bag in the truck.  Arrested was the driver, Vincent Lunsford, for Possession of Marijuana over 30 Grams, Class "D" Felony.  In addition he was charged with the traffic violations of False and Fictitious Registration and No Insurance.

The truck's passenger, Alicia Lunsford, 23, also of Brookville, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, 2nd offense, Class "D" Felony, and Reckless Possession of Paraphernalia, Class "A" Misdemeanor.  Both were lodged in the Franklin County Jail.
