This is the time of year deer begin more movement. As farmers harvest their crops, as deer hunters take to the woods, and the "rut" or annual mating season starts to kick in, deer will be more active. Motorists are urged to use extra caution particularly in rural areas. Deer movement is more prevalent in the pre-dawn hours and just after dark.
