HAMMOND, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces State Road 152 (Indianapolis Boulevard) between I-80/94 and U.S. 20 in Hammond will be closed Oct. 13-28. This will allow Norfolk Southern Railroad crews to perform railroad crossing resurface construction at their tracks between 164th and Sherman streets.
Residents and businesses will have access to their properties on either side of the closure, but through traffic will be detoured via posted signs. Northbound S.R. 152 traffic will be directed to take I-80/94 east to State Road 912 (Cline Avenue) north to U.S. 20 west and back to S.R. 152. Southbound traffic will be directed to take U.S. 20 east to S.R. 912 south to I-80/94 west and back to S.R. 152.
