Rep. Koch to Speak at IUPUI
Symposium Panel to Discuss Nuclear Energy in Indiana
STATEHOUSE-State Representative Eric Koch (R-Bedford) will speak on state policy toward nuclear energy at the Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis on Friday, October 2, 2009. The Program on Law and State Government will sponsor a fellowship symposium, State Law and Energy Policy: Initiatives and Ideas Powering the Future, which includes a panel discussion of Reacting to Nuclear Reactors: State Legislative Efforts Involving Nuclear Energy.
The panel will include Rep. Koch; Dr. Audeen Fentiman, Professor of Nuclear Engineering at Purdue University; Charles Whitney, General Counsel of Oglethorpe Power Corporation; and Kerwin Olson, Program Director at the Citizens Action Coalition of Indiana.
Rep. Koch is a member of the House Commerce, Energy, Technology & Utilities Committee and is recognized as a leader in the House on energy issues. He serves House District 65, which includes parts of Bartholomew, Brown, Jackson, and Lawrence counties, and serves in House leadership as Assistant Republican Caucus Chairman.
