The Department of Natural Resources will conduct public meetings in Dubois County to discuss the presence of the invasive Emerald Ash Borer beetle.
In cooperation with the Dubois County Purdue Cooperative Extension Service, the DNR meeting will address symptoms associated with EAB infestations, control measures, and quarantine regulations on all hardwood firewood, ash nursery stock and ash wood products and debris.
The meetings will be at 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. (EDT) on Oct. 7 at the following location:

Individuals who work in timber management, sawmills and tree service, or who sell firewood are encouraged to attend. Anyone from the public who is interested in learning about this invasive insect pest and how to manage ash trees also invited to attend.
Personnel from the Entomology & Plant Pathology and Forestry divisions of the DNR will be available to answer questions. Personnel from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service also be available to answer questions on regulations regarding the movement of ash wood products out of Indiana.
