Living with Urban Wildlife - Free Seminar

When:

Oct 22, 2009 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM EST Indiana Time Zones

Where:

Clarksville Middle School, 101 Ettles Lane, Clarksville, IN

What:

The free seminars will cover various aspects of wildlife management, including relevant laws, basic biology, and methods to control wildlife damage.

Urban and suburban residents are finding wildlife sightings near their homes more common. Wildlife is a valuable asset and can add a sense of tranquility in a busy neighborhood. However, if not kept in check wildlife can invade homes, eat valuable plantings, and leave behind a mess. In this workshop, suggestions for preventing conflicts with wildlife will be covered. We will also discuss various gadgets on the market and talk about what works and what doesn't.

All seminars run from 6 pm to approximately 8 pm and are free. All interested landowners, managers of corporate campuses, golf course or park employees, and the general public are invited. If you need further information, call the Urban Wildlife Biologist, (812) 334-1137 or e-mail swinks@dnr.in.gov.

The phone number to register for the Clarksville seminar is 812-283-5313.
