MISHAWAKA, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will host a Workshop to assist qualified businesses properly complete the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) application. This will allow the businesses to be considered for DBE certification.
INDOT personnel will be on hand to explain the application process and to provide hands-on application assistance.

WHY: The DBE program provides a vehicle for increasing the participation of Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBEs) in state and local procurement. This program applies to only transportation-related contracts that include any amount of federal funds. Participants are asked to come prepared with the following forms in hand and at least partially filled out:
(1) Bidder Registration Number - This may be obtained from the Department of Administration online.
(2) DBE Application - This may be obtained online at http://www.in.gov/indot/2576.htm
(3) Personal Finance Statement
