We have had a really small response to our upcoming event, thus I want to personally extend an invitation to all residents of Indiana who are hard of hearing or deaf and visually impaired or blind to come to an AMAZING weekend retreat that the Indiana Deaf Blind Association has planned. We have worked very hard to set up an informational and fun filled weekend.
When: Friday & Saturday, July 24th & 25th Registration beginning at 8am on Friday.
Where: The Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired

Indianapolis, IN 46220
Cost: $85.00 includes- Lodging overnight, Meals, & SSP's/Interpreters
** InDBA will also provide funding of $0.44 per mile for transportation to and from the retreat***

~ Ashley DePrez, President of the Indianapolis Chapter of Foundation for Fighting Blindess
~ Jamie Pope, Executive Director of the American Association for the Deaf Blind
~ Jill Gaus, Treasurer of Self Help for Independency in Michigan Equalizing the Deaf Blind and Board member of American Association for the Deaf Blind
~ Emily Abel, Education and Outreach Coordinator for INDATA - IN Diana Assistive Technology Act, a division of Easter Seals Crossroads
Other fun events:
~ Silly Safaris Exotic Animal show with Critter Colleen, where you will learn about and can feel the exotic animals.
~ Ice Cream Social
~ Walk the peaceful and beautiful Monon Trail, a paved and shaded path at School for the Blind
~ Play games: Win, Lose, or Play dough & Braille Bingo
~ Visit vendor booths from various organizations including:
American Association for the Deaf Blind
Bosma Industries for the Blind
