(STATEHOUSE)-Rep. Sean Eberhart (R-Shelbyville) offered the following statement about today's passage of House Bill 1001, the state budget:

"Although not ideal, the budget is reasonably balanced and preserves the majority of the state's surplus," said Rep. Eberhart. "And, most important, the budget does not include any statewide tax increases. It was time that the General Assembly put the taxpayers first and complete its constitutional duty to pass a budget."
