To promote minority business enterprises (MBE) and women's business enterprises (WBE), the Indiana Department of Administration's Minority and Women's Business Enterprises Division will host its 2009 Summer Resource Fair & Workshop Series on Tuesday, July 14, 2009.
The event is part trade show and part workshop experience. At the resource fair, minority and women business owners can speak with purchasing representatives from various state agencies, universities, casinos and private sector corporations. In addition, legal experts and banking professionals will be available to discuss loan opportunities and other small business resources. There will also be a Business Plan Assistance Center, where professional representatives will be available to assist business owners who need help completing their business plan. Workshops are targeted to meet specific business needs and include:

. Finding Money For Your Business
. Basics Of Certification
. How Do I Bid On A State Contract?

The 2009 Summer Resource Fair & Workshop Series is being held in conjunction with the Indiana Black Expo Black Business Conference, and is sponsored by Ball State University, Indiana State University, Indiana University, Ivy Tech Community College, Purdue University, University of Southern Indiana, and Vincennes University, as well as The Minority Business Enterprise Center and Pitney Bowes Management Services.
