S.R. 121/New Paris Pike Closed During Bridge Replacement

Two Bridges to be Replaced north of Richmond

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will close State Road 121/New Paris Pike, north of Richmond. This allows crews to replace two bridges located just west of Hayes Arboretum Road and at Buttermilk Road. The closure will begin on or after June 1.

Two bridges will be replaced with two box culverts measuring 18 feet wide and 6 feet high with wing walls. Each culvert construction requires a 25 day closure, and Milestone Contractors will begin constructing the west culvert first.

Milestone gave the lowest of nine other bids for the project at $780,000.
