LEBANON - Andy Miller, Commissioner of the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), officially opened the remodeled Lebanon license branch at 2222 North Lebanon Street. The remodeled branch features a new layout, computer testing stations and a public restroom.
Before cutting the ribbon with the assistance of branch employees, Miller commented, "Over the last few years, the BMV has significantly improved the level of customer service. New and renovated branches like Lebanon continue to allow us to meet our goal of providing quality customer service and improving the efficiency of our staff. Lebanon is an outstanding branch that has already reduced visit times by over 11 percent as compared to last year at this time. With this new branch, customer satisfaction and service should improve even further."
Miller also noted that the BMV has implemented a number of new ways for customers to do business with the BMV without visiting a license branch, including improved online services and partnerships with auto dealers, AAA Hoosier Motor Club and Old National Bank. Nearly 1.3 million Hoosiers renewed their registrations online 2008, and more than 129,000 completed BMV transactions at one of the new BMV partnership locations.
