SULLIVAN - Andy Miller, Commissioner of the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), today officially opened the renovated Sullivan License Branch at 273 South Section Street. The renovated branch features new carpet and paint, and includes a new public restroom.
Before cutting the ribbon with the assistance of branch employees, Miller commented, "Over the last few years, the BMV has significantly improved the level of customer service. New and renovated branches like Sullivan continue to allow us to meet our goal of providing quality customer satisfaction and improve the efficiency of our staff."
"Sullivan is an outstanding branch that in 2008 achieved an average visit time that was 47 percent below the statewide average. With the renovations, customer satisfaction and service should improve even further."
Miller also noted that the BMV has implemented a number of new ways for customers to do business with the BMV without visiting a license branch, including improved online services and partnerships with auto dealers, AAA Hoosier Motor Club and Old National Bank. Nearly 1.3 million Hoosiers renewed their registrations online in 2008, and more than 129,000 completed BMV transactions at one of the new BMV partnership locations.
