MARSHALLCOUNTY, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces State Road 117 (S.R. 117) between State Road 110 (S.R. 110) and State Road 10 (S.R. 10) in Marshall County will be restricted beginning Sept. 2.

During the daylight hours of Sept. 2, S.R. 117 will be closed at the intersection of 18B Road during a culvert replacement project. Also, beginning Sept. 2 through October 2008, different sections of S.R. 117 between S.R. 110 and S.R. 10 will be restricted to one lane as directed by flag persons during daylight hours around a moving operation. This will allow work to take place on a $469,000 resurface construction project awarded to E&B Paving of Anderson.

During the Sept. 2 closure, residents and businesses will have access to their properties on either side of 18B Road, but through S.R. 117 traffic will be detoured. Northbound traffic will be directed to take S.R. 110 west to State Road 17 (S.R. 17) north to S.R. 10 east and back to S.R. 117. Southbound traffic will be directed to take S.R. 10 west to S.R. 17 south to S.R. 110 east and back to S.R. 117.
