Macy - This morning, a month long joint investigation by the Indiana State Police, Wabash County Drug Task Force, Miami County Drug Task Force, and Miami County Sheriff's Department resulted in the arrest of two Wabash County men. Daniel R. Fleshood, 36, and Cory A. Catt, 30, both from the city of Wabash were arrested and incarcerated in the Miami County Jail. Both men face charges of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, a class B felony, and possession of a drug lab, a class D felony. Catt faces an additional charge of possession of a scheduled III narcotic, also a class D felony.
The investigation was started after officers received information that the two were allegedly involved in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. This led officers to set up surveillance on a garage at 11975 East County Road 1200 North, Macy, IN. When evidence of drug activity was observed, the officers converged on the garage and allegedly found items commonly associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and prescription pills. Fleshood and Catt were taken into custody. As officers continued their investigation, it led them to Fleshood's residence at 309 E. Main Street, Wabash, IN. At the residence officers found additional items associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
Members of the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team collected evidence and cleaned up toxic chemicals at both locations.
