Join us to learn about birds! The Flying WILD curriculum involves hands on
activities that introduce bird biology, behavior and migration as well as
bird watching and strategies for starting community bird festivals. In the
morning Home Educators will complete the Flying WILD teacher training
session while their children (ages 7 and older only) participate in
bird-related activities with the site naturalist. After lunch, parents and
children will team up to conduct activities together, learn how to use
binoculars, and practice bird watching outdoors. Fees include the cost of
the Flying WILD curriculum guide ($10.00) and a program fee of $2 per child.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate infants or toddlers. For more
information on Flying WILD, see www.flyingwild.org.
