Application Instructions and an Important Message from the Board

Application for Licensure as a Certified Residential or Certified General Appraiser

On July 1, 2008 the Appraisal Subcommittee announced that experience logs must have all of the following items: 1. Type of property; 2. Date of report; 3. Address of appraised property; 4. A description of the work performed by the trainee or applicant; 5. The scope of the review performed by the supervising appraiser; 6. The level of supervision performed by the supervising appraiser; 7. Number of actual work hours by the trainee/applicant on the assignment; and 8. The signature and state certification number of the supervising appraiser if applicable. Separate appraisal logs shall be maintained for each supervising appraiser if applicable. (Bold added for emphasis). Because this is another policy shift mandated by the ASC the Board will be creating a new application over the next few months. In the meantime please attempt to include all of this information on your log. Thank you .
