Auburn Municipal Water

The IURC has approved a settlement agreement between the OUCC and Auburn municipal water utility, establishing new water rates for the first time since 1999. The OUCC filed testimony supporting the agreement on February 16, 2018.

Under the agreement, monthly residential water charges for a customer using 5,000 gallons will rise from $22.31 to $32.07. By comparison, Auburn's original request would have raised that amount to $33.47. The OUCC had recommended a $31.60 rate based on its technical and legal review.

The OUCC issued a November 6, 2017 news release to invite consumer comments.
