The OUCC and the City of Anderson have reached a settlement agreement in the city's pending water rate case. The agreement, if approved by the IURC, would grant the increase requested by the city and previously approved by the Anderson Common Council. It would also implement a number of consumer protections including restrictions on the use of money for depreciation and well/tank maintenance funds along with the completion of a full capital improvement plan from the city within 18 months of a Commission order.

The Anderson municipal water utility's current base rates were approved in December 2006.
Municipal electric and sewer/wastewater rates and charges are not at issue in this case.
