Indiana Wind Working Group
)Since 1999, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Wind Powering America (WPA) program has emphasized a state-based approach to deployment of wind energy technologies with a focus on state wind working groups. The Wind Powering America (WPA) Wind Working Groups develop multi-stakeholder efforts to facilitate workshops, manage anemometer loan programs, and hold landowner and community meetings. The groups work with the agricultural, energy, legislative, and regulatory sectors, and develop relationships with county officials
The Indiana Wind Working Group (IWWG) was created by the Office of Energy Development (OED) in 2005. This year, there are close to 300 members of the group. Along with OED IWWG sponsors the annual WIndiana state wind energy conference.
IWWG holds quarterly meetings that include presentations as well as networking opportunities. These meetings are free and open to the public. Unless otherwise specified they are held at the Indiana Government Center South in Indianapolis (www.in.gov/idoa/2416.htm). Below you can download past and current agendas and presentations from these meetings.
