The Library Development Office supports the improvement and development of library services to all Indiana citizens. The LDO includes specialists in the areas of library finance, management, planning, evaluation, and services to special populations. The LDO also administers statewide library services like interlibrary loan, library delivery services, and INSPIRE - Indiana's Virtual Library.

    Provides general consultation to library staff and trustees, and specific consultation on library finance, and coordinates the Indiana e-rate program.

    Provides secretarial support to library consultants. Maintains Positions Open list, and Names in the News for Focus on Indiana Libraries.

    Shauna Borger - Evergreen Indiana Project Coordinator, 317-234-6536, sborger@library.IN.gov
    Oversees the Evergreen Indiana open-source intergrated library system initiative, including training, data conversion, membership development and other related duties.

    Jennifer Clifton - LSTA Consultant, 317-234-6550, jclifton@library.IN.gov
    Coordinates and oversees statewide LSTA projects and initiatives. Consults with libraries regarding LSTA programs, applications, and grant writing.

    Directs the collection, retrieval, analysis and publication of data from all types of Indiana libraries. Provides consultant and advisory services to public librarians and trustees.

    Coordinates the NEH-NDNP digitization project

    Coordinates the Indiana Memory program and provides consultant and advisory services for the digitization projects of libraries.

    Provides consultant and advisory services to libraries in the area of programs for special populations including the illiterate, blind & physically handicapped and institutionalized.
