Organizational History:

The Plum Grove Extension Homemakers Club was organized in 1919 by Orpha Cole, the first home economics agent in Tipton County, Indiana. The first president of the club was Mrs. Carl Hobbs.

Scope and Content:

The collection includes one item, a typescript of the charter members of the Plum Grove Extension Homemakers Club written by Mary Jane Lilly Flaningam in 1999. Included are obituaries of the twelve charter members, a short history of the club, and a bibliography.
