Biographical Note:

Dr. Thomas S. Basye served as Assistant Surgeon in the 36th IN Regiment during the Civil War.

Scope and Content Note:

The collection consists of three oversized medical certificates belonging to Dr. Thomas S. Basye of Spiceland, Indiana.  Also a letter from G.W.H. Kemper, giving the correct spelling of Basye’s name.
