INfreefile Best Way to Insure Fast, Free Tax Returns for Patrons As the dog days of tax season are upon us, the Indiana Department of Revenue is offering qualified taxpayers a free filing service called Indiana freefile (INfreefile) to file both their federal AND state taxes online. INfreefile provides faster refunds, easy-to-use professional software and both federal and state tax filings. Nearly 1 million Hoosier taxpayers qualify to file taxes for free through INfreefile, due to criteria such as having an Adjusted Gross Income of $58,000 or less. INfreefile can connect your patrons to faster refunds, easy-to-use professional software and both federal and state tax filings. It’s a one-stop shop for their individual income tax filing needs. If you have any questions, please contact the Indiana Department of Revenue at (317) 232-2240 or online at www.in.gov/dor. Build Stronger Digital Archiving Communities at PDA 2014 The Personal Digital Archiving Conference is coming to Indianapolis April 10th & 11th. The event is an opportunity for researchers and practitioners across the nation to convene for presentations and networking. The conference supports a broad community of practitioners working to ensure long term access for various personal collections and archives. PDA 2014 at the Indiana State Library will explore the intersection between individuals, public institutions, and private companies engaged in the creation, preservation, and ongoing use of the digital records of our daily lives. The conference reflects upon the current status of personal archiving, its achievements, challenges, issues, and needs as evidenced through research, education, case studies, practitioner experiences, best practices, the development of tools and services, storage options, curation, and economic sustainability. There is also interest in the role of libraries, archives and other cultural heritage organizations in supporting personal digital archiving through outreach or in conjunction with developing community history collections. Registration for the event is $150.00 and $85.00 for students. Registration includes full 2 day conference and transportation to and from conference hotel and Indiana State Library. Visit the PDA Conference website for a complete schedule of events, lineup of presenters and registration information. Nominate your favorite Hoosier |
