New E-Rate Contract Provides 20% Savings

E-Rate for Indiana Libraries

The Indiana State Library recently negotiated a new E-Rate contract for the Public Library Internet Consortium. The new pricing structure for 2010 represents a 21% cost reduction from 2009. ENA was once again selected as the contractor and will provide E-Rate services for 48 months beginning July 1, 2010.

ENA is the single point of contact for all network support issues. Their staff of Indiana-based engineers and support personnel provides help desk services, field service, and network engineering. For information about Internet service levels, network upgrades, E-Rate news, and information visit INPubLibraries.net or contact ENA’s Customer Support Center at (888) 612-2880 or helpdesk@INPubLibraries.net.

If you are not a current member of the Public Library Internet Consortium and would like to learn more visit the State Library’s E-Rate Webpage.  This page also provides templates and guides for building technology plans, which are required to meet public library standards.

The E-Rate discount telecommunication program is also available for schools. Media Specialists can learn more about E-Rate for schools from the Indiana Department of Education’s E-Rate Information Center.
