Ludwig David von Schweinitz was a Moravian minister that moved his congregation to Hope, Indiana.

Scope and Content Note:

This collection contains von Schweinitz’s account of the trip from North Carolina to Indiana in German with English translations. It also contains a copy of Martin Hauser’s journal and church records from the Moravian church in Hope, Indiana. There is a mention of William Hendricks taking von Schweintiz to a revival meeting in Madison, Indiana.
