Biographical Note:

Joshua Soule was an Indianapolis dentist and president of the town board from 1837-1838.

Scope and Content Note:

The collection primarily contains Joshua Soule’s letters to his fiancée Eliza Lawson in Lebanon, Ohio. Also included are letters to Soule regarding the Democratic Party from William Brown, Andrew Kennedy, and James Whitcomb.
